Passed SVA late 2001, Rover 3.5 V8, rebuilt with fast road cam, lightened flywheel, quad choke Eddlebrook carb, Mallory dual point ignition, Facet fuel system, s'steel 4 box exhaust system (rear exit) 5 speed, MGB V8 running gear, Tilton balance bar, V8 disks, Triumph callipers, quick rack, original pattern splined wire wheels & spinners, Smiths instruments (re-callibrated & certificated), Smiths heater & wipers. Aluminium grill & side vents, front & rear bumpers + nudge bars.
Dark blue leather interior with wool carpets, SVA compliant steering wheel, SVA screen & mirrors, twin chrome roll hoops (FIA spec) with forward brace and SVA internal frame. Mohair hood, sidescreens.

Part completed BRA 289 for sale.
80% Complete 289 Cobra replica from BRA Cars.
Beautiful replica of the original Cobra, the 289. This kit is appoximatly 80% complete with almost all the parts needed to finish the car.
It is fitted with a fully reconditioned and tuned (high comp pistons, high lift cam, polished and ported big valve head etc) Rover 4.0 litre engine, with Offenhauser 360 manifold and Holley carburettor, AP racing clutch and cover with brand new Getrag 5 speed gearbox (when finished, will be capable of 0-60 in just over 4 seconds and top speed of 160mph plus)
Brand new wire wheels and tyres (black painted) fuel tank and plumbing already installed.
No expense has been spared in the build so far, and everything is either brand new or fully reconditioned.
The car comes with almost all the parts needed to finish the build apart from, instruments, wiring loom (approx £100) carpets, and exhausts (manifolds and downpipes already fitted)

AC Aceca Cobra


This lovely AC Aceca was sold new in 1957 in Hong Kong and according to AC Cars records, this was the only car ever sold in Hong Kong!


Originally a white Bristol engined example, the car went to California in the sixties (after it had 2 known owners in Hong Kong), where it had a Chevrolet V8 engine fitted.


The interior is black with black carpets, but could use some detailing.


In 1985, the aluminium bodywork was restored, painted red, converted from right-hand-drive to left-hand-drive, and the Chevrolet V8 engine was replaced with a more appropriate Ford 302 ci Cobra type V8 engine, with a 4 speed gearbox to mate to its estimated 300 bhp power. The sturdy tubular chassis does not seem to have problems with the extra power and torque. Compared to the 125 bhp Bristol engine, this car has become a real tarmac eater !
The car is currently fitted with the 15 inch wire wheels on Dunlop radial tyres, but standard original 16 inch wire wheels with crossply tyres also come with the car. The front bumper is also available.
It has a twin exhaust system. The chassis is in very good condition as is the alloy bodywork.
It is currently Dutch registered but also has an American title. With the car comes a history file and an article in a Dutch magazine.
This lightweight car now with extremely powerful engine requires a very controlled right foot as it can spin its wheels in all gears ! It will certainly make you smile after a test drive!
