Who will we be dealing with ?
Wedding Wheels is a small business run by David Butcher (a British expat who has lived in West Germany since 1985).

Where are you based and what area do you cover?
Wedding Wheels is based in 53547 Hochscheid-Breitscheid in West Germany (7 km from the Autobahn A3 exits for Fernthal or Rengsdorf, and about 30 km north of Koblenz and 30 km south of Bonn).

We usually cover an area within a 150 km radius of Hochscheid - which includes Dortmund, Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Köln, Bonn, Neuwied, Koblenz, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz and Darmstadt. However, we will try to accommodate you if you live elsewhere (including outside of Germany) - please send us your requirements via via e-mail .



Do you have a price list?
Each booking is unique and customised to meet the individual requirements. Please visit the prices page for further details of our fixed prices plus any special offers or discounts that may apply to you, or send us an e-mail with your requirements for an exact quote.



Can we view your cars?
We encourage and welcome viewings on any weekday evening between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm, or Saturday and Sunday between 10:30 am and 6:00 pm - but please make an appointment first via e-mail .



Will you take the Bridesmaids and / or the Brides Mother to the Church if we book only one car?
If the travelling distance from the pick-up point to place of wedding is within 10 km and the number of passengers does not exceed 4, this can be arranged (at no extra cost).



Are ribbons and floral decorations included?
No, the car can either be decorated by the local florist of your choice or by our chosen florist.



How long do we have use of the car(s) on the day?
This is dependant upon the amount of time booked - but usually, you will have use of the car(s) and chauffeur(s) to pick up the Bridal Party and take them to the wedding venue, wait for the ceremony and photographs to be completed, before taking the Bride and Groom to the reception venue and waiting for more photographs of the Bride and Groom with the car(s).



Are you available for weekday weddings?
Our cars are available for weddings on any day of the week.



Do you only cover weddings ?
No, our chauffeur-driven cars are available for any special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, airport collections, Rhine castle tours, etc.) on any day of the week - please send us an e-mail with your requirements.



Can you provide a horse-drawn carriage for our wedding ?
The journey to your wedding venue may well be one of the most nerve-wracking and emotional of your life, and the trip to your reception may well be the most wonderful, so there is every reason to do it in style and comfort.
A horse-drawn carriage is undoubtedly the most romantic way to travel - there is no finer way for a bride to arrive than in a flurry of pounding hooves and amid the chink and gleam of newly polished harness and gleaming carriage. It is the most spectacular sight of all and one which seems to instantly transport your wedding out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is an element of the surreal to a horse drawn carriage in the modern day. It is a welcoming nod back to a more serene, idyllic time. It is - still - the ultimate statement of wedding elegance.
However, we cannot offer you a horse-drawn carriage, since it is too limited in scope and distance, but we can offer you the next best alternative - a very stylish and comfortable classic ivory white Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit or her twin sister, a Royal Blue Bentley Mulsanne !!
Here it comes...sweeping through the town or village. The bridal motorcade. Heads turn, people smile. It is a sight that gladdens the hardest heart.
For those outside the ceremony, it is the most immediate image of all. Like most aspects of a wedding, far more thought needs to go into the choice of car than might initially seem apparent.
For a start, you are governed by practicality. A bride in a full wedding gown, for example, will disappear beneath a meringue of whiteness if transported in a sleek sports car.

As a professional wedding car company, we understand and can anticipate almost all of the possible pitfalls in advance. We will talk to you carefully, ask you about the route, the wedding dress, the number of people involved, etc. - because only by gaining an overview of the entire day can we advise and help you accordingly.



Why do I have to pay so much when I only require the wedding car for about 30 minutes ?
As an example, here is a typical wedding day from our side. You would like to be collected from the church at 2:00 pm and driven to the reception, which is only 30 minutes away.

11:15 am - the car will be taken out of our garage and prepared for the rental (technical checks of oil, water and tyre pressure levels, plus cleaning inside and outside).
11:45 am - the owner changes from garage clothing into a suit and drives the car to the florist.
12:15 pm - arrive at the florist and start decorating the car with flowers.
12:45 pm - leave the florist to drive to the church, planning to arrive early to allow for unforseen delays such as road works or traffic jams.
01:30 pm - arrive early at the church (better than too late !!).
02:00 pm - the photographer wants to take some pictures with the wedding car, and the bride and groom have not finished drinking their champagne.
02:20 pm - the guests begin to gather their cars together to form a nice convoy.
02:30 pm - drive slowly in convoy to the restaurant for the Reception.
03:00 pm - more photographs to be taken with the wedding car.
03:15 pm - the wedding car is no longer required, so leaves the restaurant.
04:00 pm - the owner arrives home at the garage. The car is full of rice and must be cleaned again.
04:30 pm - cleaning finished.

Hence although the wedding car was only required for the 30 minute drive from the church to the restaurant, the owner was working for over 5 hours for you - and ths does not include any of the prior preparations and discussions. Great personal care and attention is given to planning and organising the wedding details to ensure a smooth enjoyable journey on your special day. Our smartly dressed chauffeurs are friendly and courteous and will assist in all ways possible.
Prior to the wedding, our chauffeur will have already carefully inspected the route to be taken. We will then contact you to discuss the details and ensure all arrangements are to your liking. On the wedding day, the car(s) will arrive before the required time to allow for any unforeseen delays, extra journeys and photographs. Best of all it helps to put your mind at ease - knowing that your special car is ready and waiting for you.
We always try to accommodate individual needs, so please do not hesitate to contact us for a different arrangement. It is unlikely to seriously affect the price.
